Luxury units at 28 Chidlom, a high-rise condominium development project in Pathum Wan in downtown Bangkok will be open for sale to Myanmar buyers in the second week of November, according to sales organiser SQFT Global Properties.

The 28 Chidlom condominium project is being constructed by Thai property developer Ritta Company on the 52,700 square feet of land.

Construction of the condominium complex, which is being developed for a total of 4.2 billion baht, began last November and is expected to be complete in May 2020.

Myanmar buyers can place a deposit of 5 percent in cash to buy the condominium with another 10pc due within the next 1.5 years. The remaining can be paid upon completion of the project in 2020, said Ma Hnin Ei Lwin, country director of SQFT global properties.

Two different buildings – The Tower and The Villa – will be developed under the 28 Chidlom project, however only units from The Villa will be available for sale to Myanmar customers, as units from The Tower are already sold out, said Ms. Krittiya Chalermpong, head of marketing at SC Asset construction.

There are 182 units on the 20 floors of The Villa and the unit price will be at least $400,000 for one unit, she said.

The property is also very near popular Myanmar haunts in Thailand, including Bumrungrad International Hospital, Chulalongkorn University and the Siam Paragon, Platinum and Central World shopping centers.

“The 28 Chidlom project is really suitable for Myanmar buyers because of its location, which is very near the hospitals and shopping centers”, said Ma Hnin Ei Lwin.
