SINGAPORE: ‘Marry Christmas’ in Singapore as well

REMEMBER the “Mary Christmas” spelling mistake on a Malaysia Airports Holdings Berhad (MAHB) bunting at the Kota Baru airport?

There were some red faces and Malaysia Airports has apologised for the mistake.

The SBS Transit of Singapore is not spared the blushes too. It too had to apologise for a message wishing commuters a “Marry Christmas” instead of “Merry Christmas” at one of the MRT stations on the Downtown Line.

The spelling error was displayed on an electronic display board on Christmas day.

“We are very sorry for the error in spelling and have corrected it. We hope this has not marred the festivities for any of our commuters,” SBS Transit’s senior vice president, corporate communications, Tammy Tan said.
