UNTV EXCLUSIVE: DND reso surfaces, proving Trillanes’ claim of amnesty application

QUEZON CITY, Philippines – UNTV News and Rescue was able to secure a copy of the Department of National Defense (DND) Ad Hoc Committee Resolution No. 2 bearing the names of Magdalo members who applied for an amnesty during the administration of former President Benigno Aquino III.
In the said document, the name of former Lieutenant Senior Grade Antonio Trillanes IV was written first.
According to former Congressman Francisco Ashley Acedillo, who provided the document and also among those who were granted amnesty, they were not given a receiving copy of the amnesty application. However, they were provided with a Certificate of Amnesty which was signed by then-Defense Secretary Voltaire Gazmin.
Acedillo also posted a copy of his own certificate.

The resolution also bears the names of Magdalo Party list Representative Gary Alejano who was also granted amnesty for cases of rebellion and coup d’etat during the Oakwood mutiny. — Grace Casin / Marje Pelayo
