Slowly but surely, changes are happening to Singapore’s education system. Nanyang Technological University is broadening its admission criteria for 40 of its 111 undergraduate courses. Grades are no longer the sole qualifier for admissions; interviews, aptitude tests and portfolios will be taken into consideration as well. The National University of Singapore announced a special admission scheme for polytechnic students who show entrepreneurial abilities, and the Singapore Management University is looking to help students tailor their education to suit their career interests.
