Experiential has become a buzzword and even history and heritage are not immune from the hype. Heritage tours nowadays can incorporate live opera performances, are conducted by tour guides-cum-actors who assume the role of fictitious characters, or take visitors on an interactive game trail.
Even Singapore’s bicentennial commemoration has gone the experiential route with From Singapore To Singaporeans: The Bicentennial Experience, which tells Singapore’s deep history through an hour-long cinematic journey as well as an outdoor exploratory trail.
