FIBA WORLD CUP CHINA 2019: Iran 95-75 demolition of Gilas Pilipinas that bowed out of World Cup winless

Mohammad Nik Khabahrami chipped in 17 points for the Iranians, who claimed their first and only win in Group N at the end of the Classification 17-32 Phase of the FIBA World Basketball 2019.

The Iranians, who finished in 26th place overall, drew 16 points from Mohammad Jamshidijafarabadi.

Robert Bolick Jr. topscored for Gilas with 15 points.

Gilas, which remained winless after five games, got 12 points from Andray Blatche.

Junemar Fajardo added 10 points for Team Philippines, which went on to finish at 30th position.

The Iranians started pulling away at the end of the first period, 30-24, off a three-pointer and layup from Benham Yakchalidehkhordi and a drive from Khabahrami in the dying seconds.

They stretched their edge to seven, 34-27, behind a three-point play and penetration shot from Jamshidijafarabadi.

The Iranians then gained a 41-31 edge with 6:06 left off Haddadi. by Peter Atencio
