Unsafe cycling lanes

I WELCOME DBKL’s initiative to build bicycle lanes. It’s great to see DBKL is taking distinctive approaches to make KL a more liveable city.

Allow form 2 students to join DLP class

I DON’T understand why the Education Ministry doesn’t allow Form 2 students to transfer to the dual language programme (DLP).

Besides Form 1, Form 2 is the perfect time to let students transfer to DLP class. There is no major exam in Form 2 and PT3 exam is still two years away.

Cheaper petrol without subsidies

PETROL station owners are at it again. Luring customers with gifts. For every RM20 purchase of petrol, customers just have to scratch a coupon to win a prize.

It costs money to run a competition. Why not use the same resources to lower prices?

The controlled weekly prices should be the maximum charged. If any petrol station owner wishes to sell at a lower price, why stop them.

Never too late to register to vote

ALMOST all voters will accept the advice of the Election Commission that it’s never too late to register to vote.

About 3.8 million Malaysians had not registered to vote as at last September. Why have the largely young eligible voters not exercised their responsibility? Is it indifference? Do they see no difference between policies of the government and the opposition?
