PHNOM PENH: Somnang Alyna Crowned Miss Universe Cambodia

After weeks of intense competition, Miss Universe Cambodia 2019 finally found its outright winner, who will bear her country’s flag and compete for the crown in the world’s most prestigious international beauty pageant this year.

At the Grand Coronation Night held this evening at NABA Theatre, Naga 2, Somnang Alyna, an 18-year-old candidate from Phnom Penh, bested the other 25 candidate and was declared the winner of Miss Universe Cambodia 2019.

Once the final result was announced, Alyna broke into tear of joy and embraced Thoung Mala, the first runner-up from Kandal while her supporters in the audience gave a loud cheer in unison.

The Second runner-up is John Sothina, a 20-year-old student from Phnom Penh.

The third and fourth runner-up are Po Kimtheng Sothida,22, and Bon Kachnak Thyda,24 , respectively.

Alyna has completed a once in a lifetime journey of beauty, glamour and brains, but that was just a beginning of her dream. She will represent the Kingdom in the 68th Miss Universe pageant, which will be held in South Korea this year.
