- I. If you’re new to gardening and forgot to pick up a watering can when you purchased your first plants, there’s no need to panic. You can fashion a temporary watering can using a milk jug by simply poking holes in the lid using needles! This will allow water to flow freely from it.

- II. It can be tough to drive pests away from your beloved garden, but you stand a good fighting chance if you enlist the assistance of some eggshells. Coarsely crush the eggshells and sprinkle them onto the soil around your plants. Soft-bodied pests such as slugs and snails that chew up precious leaves won’t risk getting poked by the sharp edges of the shells.

- III. For gardeners, going on vacation can be a little stressful because it means you will have to leave your plants unwatered for days. Never fear! With this hack, you can enjoy your trip worry-free because your plants will easily stay hydrated for days! Just roll up some paper towels very tightly and place one end in a glass of water. The rest of the paper towel should be laid across the soil so that it remains damp while you’re away.

- VI. No pot? No problem! To start your seeds, all you need is half an orange peel! Poke a hole in the bottom of the peel for drainage, fill it with soil, then plant the seed. Sprinkle it with a little bit of water every day. Once the seed is ready to be transplanted into a bigger area, you may plant it directly in the garden with the peel intact. As the peel decomposes, it nourishes the plant further.
