A CPP press statement yesterday said Ms Sudary will preside over the signing of the MoU at the end of the expo.
It said the agreement is aimed at building and expanding the international network of the ACC as well as to sustain the cooperation between Cambodia and South Korea on culture.
“The Memorandum of Understanding also focuses on future cooperation on the restoration of the Angkor Conservation in Siem Reap city,” the statement added.
Mr Yara could not be reached for comment yesterday.
Long Kosal, Apsara Authority spokesman, yesterday said that in the area of cultural heritage preservation, South Korea has been actively involved in ancient temple conservation efforts.

He said that these include the successful completion of the project to preserve and restore Preah Pithu temple and collaboration in the restoration of the Elephant Terrace in Siem Reap province’s Angkor Thom temple area.
Mr Kosal noted that both sides have cooperated well in the restoration of Cambodia’s heritage temples, which shows the close relationship enjoyed between the two countries and governments.
“I welcome the cooperation between Cambodia, South Korea and OWHC, especially in the work of cultural heritage preservation, as it is a shared responsibility to better preserve the heritage of humanity,” he said.
According to a press release, the Gyeongju World Culture Expo-2019 is one of Asia’s top programmes which showcases the importance of Asian culture and the role of culture in people to people exchanges and state to state relations.
The expo also emphasises the importance of culture, history and humanity which are cornerstones of peace, mutual understanding and civilisation connectivity.
