BANGKOK – Myanmar’s key opposition Union Solidarity and Development Party (USDP) on Wednesday (Nov 11) denounced the Nov 8 general election, claiming it was full of irregularities.
Bur the election commission, in a rambling press conference that same afternoon, shrugged off all allegations as “baseless”, seemingly oblivious that its tardiness in releasing results was sowing falsehood and agitation.
