The Ministry of Health on Thursday evening announced that first doses of Sinopharm doses would be suspended throughout the country on a rolling basis while first doses of AstraZeneca would continue to be administered to those 60 years old and older.
As of yesterday, first doses of the Sinopharm vaccine were suspended at Preah Kossamak Hospital, Preah Ang Duong, Khmer-Soviet Friendship and National Pediatric hospitals.
From today, the first doses of the Sinopharm vaccine are suspended at Calmette Hospital.
In Sihanoukville, first doses of Sinopharm were suspended on Wednesday.
Provinces throughout the country will start suspending doses from today up to March 30. The last provinces to be able to administer first Sinopharm doses are Banteay Meanchey and Oddar Meanchey, which will suspend them on March 30.

The press release stated that Phnom Penh and Takeo and Ratanakiri provinces will suspend Sinopharm first doses as of March 14.
It is unclear which hospitals in the capital will still be administering first Sinopharm doses up until March 14, but those interested must be registered with local authorities and receive an invitation to be inoculated.
Second doses of Sinopharm will continue to be administered and the ministry said those in the 18-59 age group should return to the site where they received their first dose to receive a second one.
