FILA Philippines chief executive and owner Maricris Abad Santos Albert, better known as Cris Albert, was found dead at the Fullerton Bay Hotel in Singapore last Saturday (April 23). She was 52.

A post on the FILA Philippines Facebook page on Monday announced her “untimely passing” on Saturday. “Her family appeals to everyone to respect their privacy as they grieve in this time of immense loss.”

Albert’s sister, the actress Ana Abad Santos, posted a similar message on Instagram with the caption, “I love you Ats #crisalbert #lovee”

According to the Singapore Police Force and the Singapore Civil Defence Force, authorities were alerted to the incident at 80 Collyer Quay at about 1.05am last Saturday.

Albert was found lying motionless at the scene and pronounced dead. Police have classified the case as unnatural death and are investigating.

The final post on her Instagram account was made at the Singapore Flyer, which is in the vicinity of Fullerton Bay Hotel, last Friday.

Albert was known for leading Isport Life Inc., the sole distributor and licensee of Italian sports and streetwear brand FILA in the Philippines. Her husband Butch also works for FILA.

She started working at FILA as a marketing manager in 1992 and eventually became company president in 2007.
