He added, “So that’s why it’s very, very important and we have to at the very least reduce the corrosive influence of corruption in government as a general rule,” he added.
Last March, the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) confirmed that they sent a demand letter to the Marcos family to settle their unpaid estate tax worth P203 billion.
When asked about corruption in the BIR, Marcos Jr., consistent with the family’s historical denialism, said that past corruption in the agency will be forgotten.
