“Mom, the best tribute I could offer you is that even those who say they hate my guts, always put a qualifier, saludo raw sila sa pagpapalaki ko kay Kuya and Bimb – parehong respectful, affectionate, hindi namimili ng taong kakaibiganin, re Bimb so many adults he has conversed with are amazed that he’s so knowledgeable about so many things. Kuya is so cute and adorable (yes mom I know he’s fat again) is how they described him,” Aquino wrote.
She went on to say that she has the “best role model in the world” and that she is “forever going to be proud to be Cory’s baby and the mama to Kuya Josh and Bimb.”
Adding that she no longer is looking for someone to complete her, Aquino continued, “You told me many times, I’ll only have a successful relationship if I find your male version…But with all I’ve been through I finally see so much of you in me…Finally realized the truth in what you’d always say to me: ‘Kristina, know your worth.’ Yes mom I do…”
Health update
The erstwhile “Queen of All Media” – who is still currently in the US – also showed photos of her journey undergoing several treatments for her condition. According to her, there was a “50 percent chance” of her having a sixth autoimmune disease.
“I prayed about my decision on whether to show everyone what it’s been like – because you never wanted anybody to know how difficult it was for you. Mom, naaawa ako kay Ate, because it’s so hard for her to explain why I’m still here and why my treatment hasn’t started. And I also wanted to show those who have been so kind to me, Kuya Josh and Bimb, that this is what they have been praying about…it’s from you I learned to always remember to say thank you and be grateful,” she said.
Aquino disclosed clips of her visible weight loss, bruises and redness of her skin caused by her condition and allergies to medicines and opioids which would make her endure a certain treatment without pain reliever back in May. While undergoing the said treatment, Aquino disclosed she had to be sedated as she could not tolerate the pain any longer.
“Mom, you kept saying I was the female version of Ninoy – none of my sisters have blood pressure issues but as I’ve shown my fluctuations have been awful…I worry Ate so much when I send her the bad readings, so I’m now screening what I send. Having four autoimmune conditions wasn’t enough (but good news mom in my genetic screening – no organs or body areas were detected to carry any cancer gene, including the colon and my blood – that was super thank you God moment)… you used to say for me there was never a happy medium,” Aquino said.
She then clarified that the four conditions that she has are chronic spontaneous urticaria, autoimmune thyroiditis, Churg Strauss Syndrome now called EGPA, and Crest Syndrome or Scleroderma.
“Seems from all my physical manifestations, I am highly likely to already have a 5th. And there’s a 50 percent chance of autoimmune condition number 6,” she disclosed.
In the end, Aquino shared that she and her family will be going to the “happiest place on Earth” as promised to son Josh in time for her mom’s birthday.
“I really pray na kayanin ko, even just five rides so Kuya will have happy memories during this whole ordeal. It’s because of the example you set that even when my deep bone pain is awful or my vascular urticaria is everywhere – I don’t complain – I want Kuya and Bimb to see they are worth all the pain and discomfort because I know they still need me,” Aquino finally said.
