ASEAN EDU- Association of Filipino Educators (AFE) | BRUNEI- Filipino ambassador leads oath-taking- 2023-2025 Executive Committee Officers of AFE

Ambassador of the Philippines to Brunei Darussalam Marian Jocelyn R Tirol-Ignacio officiated the oath-taking ceremony of the 2023-2025 Executive Committee Officers of the Association of Filipino Educators (AFE) on July 25.

Association President Eulalia Mendoza Curaming led the oath-reading of the 10 newly-appointed committee members of AFE, formerly known as Brunei Filipino Educators Club (BFEC). She also introduced her team to the ambassador and expressed AFE’s appreciation for the embassy’s support.

The ceremony also saw Vice President Bethsaida Ruiz present the association’s upcoming projects, including the Filipino Language and Cultural Enrichment Programme (FLCEP).

FLCEP is annually hosted by the Philippine Embassy’s Sentro Rizal-Brunei in collaboration with the Philippine National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) to provide Filipino language and cultural immersion classes to children of Filipino migrant workers, with hybrid classes from August 21 to 26. – Lyna Mohamad
