Emirates airline will restart its daily service to Phnom Penh starting from May 1 via Singapore, boosting the airline’s Southeast Asian connectivity to and from Dubai, and linking two trade and leisure centres in the region.
“The resumption of our Phnom Penh services demonstrates our commitment to strengthening our Southeast Asian network, as we continue to create more opportunities for travellers to explore diverse and culturally rich destinations, and help businesses and exporters of all sizes establish stronger trade connections,” said Adnan Kazim, Emirates’ Deputy President, and Chief Commercial Officer.
The service will be operated with a three-class Boeing 777-300ER aircraft. Emirates’ flight EK348 will depart Dubai at 0230hrs and arrive in Singapore at 1405hrs.
The flight will then depart Singapore at 1535hrs arriving in Phnom Penh at 1635hrs. Emirates’ return flight EK349 will leave Phnom Penh at 2050hrs and arrive in Singapore at 2350hrs.
The flight will then depart Singapore at 0140hrs the next day arriving in Dubai at 0455hrs, citing that all times are local.

Junta authorities in the Sagaing Region capital are abusing the rights of hundreds of detainees—including around 200 arrested for political reasons—according to their family members and associates.
Some 350 people held at Police Station No. 1 in Monywa—some on suspicion of supporting the anti-junta People’s Defence Forces (PDF)—are being deprived even of the basic rights guaranteed to prisoners, such as seeing their families or receiving parcels and letters.
For some of the detainees, the only evidence of support for anti-junta activities was sending ‘likes’ or sharing pro-resistance posts on social media.
One detainee’s family member said authorities had been holding them at the police station without bringing charges or transferring them to prisons.

SINGAPORE: ‘I feel blindsided’: No refunds for Sentosa sky lantern festival amid questions over its rescheduling
SINGAPORE – At least 15 complaints have been made against the Singapore Sky Lantern Festival’s organiser after it refused to refund attendees for the lift-off that never happened.
This comes after hundreds of ticket holders made their way to Sentosa for the festival on Feb 21, only to learn upon arrival that there was no food, nor lanterns taking off that night – both of which had been promised.
