The signatories were President of the National Assembly (NA) Khoun Sudary and Wanmuhamadnoor Matha, President of the NA and Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Kingdom of Thailand.
The MoU was signed in Bangkok on July 11, during the former’s two-day official visit to Thailand.
Under the MoU, both sides will support each other, participate and exchange information and best practices and resources for the mutual benefit of both countries, as well as exchange visits at four levels: Parliamentary leadership; specialised committees; parliamentary friendship groups and senior officials; and secretariat/general secretariat.
This will contribute to maintaining peace, prosperity and advancement of the parliaments of both countries. Both sides will also continue their mutual support at the regional and international forums.
Both sides also co-presided over the signing ceremony of a MoU between the General Secretariats of both countries’ NAs to further develop existing bilateral relations and support the MoU between the two NAs. AKP
