CAMBODIA: AirAsia to fly directly from KL to Sihanoukville
AirAsia will fly directly from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia to Sihanoukville International Airport in July to seize the flow of tourists to Cambodia’s coastal province.
According to a statement issued by AirAsia Cambodia on Thursday, the flights will be operated directly from Kuala Lumpur to Sihanoukville from July 3, with three flights per week: Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.

The group says the regime has carried out multiple attacks on its positions in recent weeks, claiming both civilian and TNLA casualties
The Ta’ang National Liberation Army (TNLA) has accused Myanmar’s military of violating its ceasefire agreement with ethnic armed groups in northern Shan State following an airstrike that left one woman dead and three others injured on Wednesday.
The attack was just the latest by regime forces in the area, where the TNLA and its allies have captured wide swathes of territory since late last year.
“Junta troops have broken the ceasefire deal several times, frequently attacking civilians and TNLA positions in our areas. So we’d like to alert civilians to stay vigilant for possible junta assaults,” a member of the group’s information team told Myanmar Now on Thursday.
Wednesday’s attack on the village of Taung Ni in Kyaukme Township took place at around 3:30pm, the spokesperson said, adding that one of the injured civilians was a 10-year-old child.

SINGAPORE – The F-16 component responsible for the May 8 crash at Tengah Air Base will be subjected to additional routine maintenance checks to ensure that any early signs of degradation are detected.
The pitch rate gyroscopes will also be replaced pre-emptively, even before they reach a stage of advanced degradation, said the Ministry of Defence (Mindef) in a statement on June 19.
Pitch rate gyroscopes are components that a flight control computer uses to control an aircraft.
