A coalition of forces has encircled Indaw and since last week has been launching attacks on its last remaining junta position
A coalition of anti-junta groups has intensified its push to take full control of Indaw, an important town in northern Sagaing Region near the border with Kachin State.
Since launching an offensive in mid-August, troops from the People’s Defence Force (PDF), the All Burma Students’ Democratic Front (ABSDF), and the Kachin Independence Army have managed to capture all but one of the regime’s positions in the town.
After a lull in fighting in October, clashes resumed on November 1 as the resistance forces renewed their attacks on the remaining hill camp in town.

Currently, heavy offensive operations are underway against the camp, known as the “Japanese Cave Hill Camp,” situated on the highest point in the town, according to a local man close to the resistance forces.
“They’ve encircled the camp and are attacking it intensively. There have been casualties and losses on our side.
