President of The Law Society of Brunei Darussalam Haji Muhammad Zainidi bin Haji Abdul Hamid attending the ASEAN Bar Leaders’ Summit 2025 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia participated in discussions aimed at strengthening cross-border cooperation among ASEAN legal institutions.
Thirty seven representatives from across ASEAN’s legal community attended the summit from July 22 to 23 aimed at fostering meaningful dialogues on relevant issues, emerging trends, and challenges within the legal profession.
The summit provided an opportunity to foster friendships, strengthen networks, and exchange ideas towards building a cohesive ASEAN legal community.
The participants explored collaborative initiatives such as sports events, exchange programmes, and knowledge-sharing endeavours. A highlight of the summit was the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the Law Society of Singapore and the Integrated Bar of the Philippines, marking an important step in regional partnership. – James Kon
