Vox Populi – Letter to Editor: Any additions to ASEAN Square arches at Damuan Recreational Park?
AT THIS moment, there are six arches symbolising the first six members of ASEAN standing proudly at the ASEAN Square at the Damuan Recreational Park.
For 34 years there have been no plans to add arches belonging to Myanmar, Cambodia, Vietnam and Lao PDR.
If I remember correctly, Bandar Seri Begawan was nominated as the ASEAN City of Culture for two years, this year being the second and final year.
Any plans by the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports to collaboratively and cooperatively build the remaining four arches and invite the sculptors as well as their embassies to attend the official launch (if it was done) sometime next year, maybe?
