The Straits Times says
Learning to navigate the digital world
Singapore is taking an important step forward on the education front by deciding to equip, by 2024, every school with e-pedagogy capabilities and every Secondary 1 student with a personal learning device. This could be a tablet, laptop or Chromebook. By 2028, all secondary school students will be equipped with a digital device. The financial support that the Government will provide for this initiative speaks of the serious intent to help students navigate the digital world. If education is a primary means of equipping the young to make sense of their way in this growing realm, then one hurdle that countries face is the divide between digital haves and the have-nots.
