“The 2019 Plague” Day 289
Jakarta. The number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Indonesia reached the second-highest rise on Saturday with more provinces on Sumatra Island reporting a three-digit daily total and new transmissions in Jakarta spiraling beyond control.
Indonesia has recorded 3,806 new cases of the virus in the last 24 hours to take the country’s total to 214,746. The highest one-day rise was 3,861 cases only two days ago.
It also reported 106 more deaths from the disease, bringing the total death toll to 8,650 or 4 percent of total cases.
