MANILA, Philippines — Eight-division boxing world champion Manny Pacquiao’s went back to amateur boxing for his first match in 2018. This time, he battled it out with hosts of the popular South Korean variety show “Infinite Challenge.”

Pacquiao showed off his famed boxing skills while slugging it out with the six hosts of the Korean variety show led by Yoo Jae Suk, “Nation’s MC.”

Like basketball superstar Stephen Curry of the Golden State Warriors who earlier guested at the show, Pacquiao allowed fun into his league as he fought it out with members sporting extended arms, multiple arms, extra-large gloves and extra padding.

The other hosts of the show, Park Myeong-su, Jeong Jun Ha, Haha, Yang Se-hyung and Jo Se-Ho, also expressed giddiness at sharing the ring with the international superstar.

Pacquiao likewise invited the comedians to visit the Philippines. He told them he will host them in his home either in Manila or General Santos City, to the delight of the show’s members. He also said that they can create a group chat to further plan the trip.

In the end, Pacquiao won against the members, scoring 25-0.

Filipino-Korean host and comedian Ryan Bang served as Pacquiao’s translator for the show.

The episode was shown on January 6. The shoot was done during Pacquiao’s visit in South Korea in December.

During his trip, Pacquiao was also recognized by the Seoul Metropolitan Government as Seoul global ambassador for leading in cultivating better relationship and exchanges between South Korea and the Philippines.
