The remand order was issued by Magistrate Muhammad Bukhori Md Raslan following an application from the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC).

The 42-year-old suspect was detained at 1.30pm yesterday for investigation under Section 17(a) of the MACC Act 2009.

According to the commission’s preliminary report, the man was believed to have acted as a middleman in manipulating the costs of several projects.
