POLITICS: PHNOM PENH- Australian filmmaker James Ricketson pardoned

Australian filmmaker James Ricketson, who was sentenced to six years in prison on in 2017 after being found guilty of espionage and collecting information considered prejudicial to the national defence, has been pardoned by royal decree.

The Royal decree signed by acting head of state Say Chhum on September 21, 2018

He has spent 15 months behind bars and has continually declared his innocence,   asking “Please, tell me. Which country was I spying for?”
