Wisdom called for as India, Pakistan push to edge of war

Both countries should weigh the costs of escalating conflict in the aftermath of terrorist attack in Kashmir

For the past two decades, and particularly since hostile neighbours India and Pakistan announced their nuclear capabilities with multiple tests, it was commonplace to see South Asia described as the most dangerous spot in the world and a potential nuclear flashpoint.

More recently, thanks to the sustained nuclear and ballistic missile testing in North Korea and the threats issued by its leader, that dubious distinction has moved to the Korean peninsula.
