Without a doubt, the virus is highly contagious and poses a health risk, especially to those with underlying health problems. It is heartening to hear that the government is taking measures by postponing or cancelling non-essential overseas work trips as a safety measure.

To further safeguard the nation from the pandemic, the public should also reconsider travelling to affected countries unless it is really essential.
