For most people, the Covid-19 outbreak induces a general sense of unease, but for some, it can be an all-consuming cause for alarm

.

As the Covid-19 pandemic spreads and the global rates of infection and death rise, one outcome is the shattering of the illusion that we are able to sail through each day with our good health unscathed.

Instead, we are now acutely aware of how vulnerable we are to ill health and, yes, even death. For most of us, experiencing a general sense of unease in the face of uncertainty as to how this crisis will play out is completely understandable and rational.
