It was 6pm on Tuesday (Aug 4) when Mr Georges Jabbour was at the National Evangelical Church of Beirut, helping out at his cousin’s wedding ceremony which was due to start in an hour.

The priest had just arrived at the church, about 2km from the Beirut port, when there was an explosion. It seemed like a localised car bomb.

MANILA:   Remains of 4 Pinoys killed in Beirut flown back next week

As this developed, the DFA said another Filipino was reported missing following the blast, bringing the total of those unaccounted for to two.

MANILA, Philippines — The remains of four Filipinos who died in the powerful explosion in Beirut, Lebanon last week would be brought home on Aug. 16, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) reported yesterday.
