MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Health logged 1,383 new cases of the coronavirus disease on Monday, bringing the country’s caseload to 241,98

The DOH also logged 230 more recoveries, bringing the tally to 184,906, while the death toll rose to 3,890 with 15 more fatalities.

Of the total case tally, 49,931 are considered active cases.

The majority, or 88.3%, of the active cases are experiencing mild symptoms; 8.3% are asymptomatic; 2% are in critical condition; while 1.4% are experiencing severe symptoms.

.Metro Manila logged the most number of new cases with 525 cases, followed by Laguna with 137 cases and Batangas with 99 cases.

The DOH also removed 21 duplicates from the total case count, eight of which are recovered cases.

Further, three cases were previously reported as recovered turned out to be fatalities.
