Lao Airlines State Enterprise has issued travel advice for passengers wishing to use the airline to enter or exit Laos.
The requirements were publicised last week following the latest easing of travel restrictions by the government and inform travellers about the steps they need to take prior to travel.
The airline requires passengers departing Laos to obtain Covid-19-free certification from the Centre for Analysis and Epidemiology no less than 72 hours before departure and complete a Health Declaration Form. Passengers must also have at least US$3,000 in cash when they travel.
Lao citizens must obtain approval from their employer and then submit a travel request to a special committee at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. They must also comply with the policies and regulations concerning Covid-19 laid down by their country of destination.

Foreign nationals withing to leave Laos are required to submit a travel request to their embassy and comply with its policies and regulations, after which the embassy must send a proposal to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs giving the applicant’s name, passport number, travel date, port of departure, and proposed mode of transport.
Persons wishing to enter Laos must obtain Covid-19-free certification no less than 72 hours before their date of departure and must have a confirmed booking at an authorised quarantine centre for a period of 14 days.
Lao citizens should register with the Lao embassy or consulate in their departing country. Every request to enter Laos must be sent to the special committee at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs at least seven days before the intended date of entry.
Individuals who do not have a visa to enter Laos must receive an approved visa type from the consular department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs before submitting a request for a visa to the Lao embassy or consulate in their country of departure.
