2022 PHILIPPINE ELECTION: MANILA- ALBAY 2nd District Rep. Joey Salceda bats for Leni-Sara in 2022

Vice President Maria Leonor “Leni” Robredo is running for president in the May 2022 elections while Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio is running for vice president.

“I am for Leni and Sara”, Salceda said in a statement.

“I have long followed and studied their track record in public service, especially good governance and management style. Both VP Leni and Mayor Sara are known for judicious and effective use of public resources in the offices and agencies they presided over. That will be very crucial given our post-pandemic fiscal space”, he said.

Salceda added that he has studied Robredo’s and Duterte-Carpio’s plans for the people, for the nation-state, and for the future, and said that the two’s visions “actually cohere significantly, especially in economic development.”

He said in part that Robredo and Duterte-Carpio “can work together if they both win” and that both are professionals.
