US President Joe Biden called Russia’s actions in Ukraine a “genocide” on Tuesday because “it’s becoming clearer and clearer each day that it’s Putin’s aim to wipe out the idea of being Ukrainian,” White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki says at a briefing. Biden “wasn’t getting ahead” of a legal investigation into genocide allegations, Psaki adds.
