Two hearts beating and
meeting
meeting
Amidst a throng of
people
and cars
and cars

Meaningful glances,
fleeting smiles
But never a word
But never a word
spoken.

Two hearts wishing
they’re one
But why the
deafening
silence
.
Is it fear or guilt
Suppressing their
Suppressing their
love and
devotion.

If roads could talk
and
pebbles can see
To ease the pains of
two
lonely hearts

But fate would
rather
intervene
To flourish not a
forbidden
love on a
crossroad.

Sometimes destiny would be
so kind
