Cambodian prominent historians have noted well-balanced compromise, shared values, and national interest orientation as unique qualities of the Win-Win Policy initiated by former Prime Minister of Cambodia Hun Sen.

A well-rounded historian and Head of the Culture, Education, and Tourist Relations Department at the Royal Academy of Cambodia, Dr Chhort Bunthong, said that the Win-Win Policy is very distinct yet could be applicable elsewhere for sustainable peacebuilding.

SINGAPORE – The annual Heartlands Festival is bigger, better and more inclusive in 2023.

Special events from fireworks to fashion shows are being rolled out in Housing Board (HDB) estates. Animal lovers can even “pawty” with their pets till the wee hours.

The festival will ring in 2024 with the theme Celebrating The Community. Now in its third edition, it seeks to connect multi-generational businesses with younger audiences.

Thai referendum will ask public just one question

BANGKOK – The government committee drafting new guidelines on holding a referendum to find common ground on how the 2017 constitution should be amended has decided to ask only one question in the first of three referenda to be conducted on the charter amendment.

The question is whether or not one agrees with the proposal to amend the constitution, except for Chapters 1 and 2, which deal with general provisions and the King respectively, Deputy Prime Minister and Commerce Minister Phumtham Wechayachai told the media in his capacity as chairman of the committee on Tuesday.

The committee is gauging public opinion on the wording in an attempt to defuse social and political conflicts related to another round of changes to the charter.
