The summit, to be held under the theme of Unleashing Asean’s Potential — Technology, Sustainability and Inclusive Growth, will be held in early March under the presidency of Prime Minister Hun Manet, with participations of directors, entrepreneurs, investors and experts from all sectors across Asean and the world, CCC said in a statement.

“The Cambodia-ASEAN Business Summit 2024 aims to be a catalyst for unlocking the enormous potential of the Asean region,” read the statement.

“It will bring together key business leaders, policymakers, and thought leaders to explore and harness the power of technology, sustainability, and inclusive growth for a thriving Asean community,” it added.

The summit will be structured around four key pillars including Leveraging Technology for Inclusive Growth: Exploring how digital transformation, Al, and other emerging technologies can empower businesses, bridge the digital divide, and drive sustainable economic development across ASEAN.

The next pillar is ‘Advancing Sustainability and Climate Action: Focusing on strategies for green business practices, renewable energy adoption, and building resilience against climate change, aligning with ASEAN’s commitment to a sustainable future.’

Cambodia Gateway to Asean: Highlighting Cambodia’s strategic location and growing potential as a regional hub for trade, investment, and collaboration, fostering deeper integration within the ASEAN bloc is the third one.

Unleashing the Power of Collaboration: Encouraging cross-border partnerships, knowledge sharing, and joint ventures between businesses, governments, and civil society to unlock ASEAN’s collective potential forms the fourth pillar.

The summit aims to strengthen Cambodia’s integration into the Asean Community, said CCC Vice President Lim Heng.

“The Cambodia-ASEAN Business Summit will allow foreign businesspeople and investors to see the reality of the potential opportunity in the investment and business environment in Cambodia,” Heng told Khmer Times.

About 500 participants from Asean and also from other parts of the world are expected to attend the summit, Heng said, adding that the summit is agreed to be hosted every year.

‘We will hear from Prime Minister Hun Manet on how the Cambodian government is going to support Asean and Cambodia businesses for a shared future,” Heng said.
