Cambodia’s coastline stretches approximately 450 kilometres over four provinces: Preah Sihanouk, Koh Kong, Kampot and Kep.

Cambodia first joined the “The Most Beautiful Bays of the World” club in 2011, and hosted the association’s “World Congress” in Kampot province in 2013, and in Preah Sihanouk along with Koh Kong provinces in 2022.

The government is transforming coastal areas in an effort to realise Cambodia’s new vision by 2050. Cambodia’s coastal areas are thought to be a good representation of how a contemporary country guided by sustainability, prosperity, health, and well-being has developed.

Kep Provincial Governor Som Piseth said that the province is building an 11-km road near the seashore from Rabbit Island pier to Ang Koul Beach. He believes that after construction is complete, more tourists will visit Kep to relax.
