If only that were the case. Singaporeans have caught the World Cup football bug, but when it comes to rallying behind home-grown sports talent, the team spirit is sorely lacking. What can be done?

Whether you are a soccer fanatic or occasional follower, it’s that time that happens every four years when the nation is overcome with football fever. Since the month-long World Cup kicked off on June 14, Singaporeans have been transfixed by the action – regardless of their level of interest in sports normally.
