Brunei had +0 new cases, has a total of 148 with 3 deaths.

Cambodia

There has been +1 new positive case of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in Cambodia. The tally is at 291. No deaths. Total recovered at 283.

Indonesia

The country reported +3,143 new infections, taking the totals to 410,088 infections with +87 new deaths, bringing total to 13,869 deaths.

Indonesia reports 3,143 newly-confirmed COVID-19 cases, 87 new deaths

JAKARTA (XINHUA) – Confirmed COVID-19 cases in Indonesia rose by 3,143 within one day to 410,088, with the death toll adding by 87 to 13,869, its Health Ministry said yesterday.

According to the ministry, 3,506 more people were discharged from hospitals, bringing the total number of recovered patients to 337,801.

The virus has spread to all the country’s 34 provinces.

Specifically, within the past 24 hours, Jakarta recorded 750 new cases, Central Java 617, West Java 411, West Sumatra 252 and East Java 223.

No more new positive cases were found in four provinces, namely Jambi, Bengkulu, Gorontalo and North Maluku.

Laos

+0 new case recorded, total at 24. No deaths.

Malaysia

The country reported +659 new cases, taking the total 31,548 of with +0 new deaths, total deaths at 249.

More than 800,000 jobless since Covid-19 started

PETALING JAYA: More than 800,000 Malaysians have lost their jobs since the country was hit by the Covid-19 pandemic.

Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yasin said the government is aware that many people are suffering from job losses and sources of income due to the spread of Covid-19.

He said many businesses had shut down and more than 800,000 people have lost their jobs.

“In managing the third wave of Covid-19, the government is doing its best to avoid a severe impact on the national economy which will affect people’s livelihood,“ he said when delivering his special address via live telecast today.

Myanmar reported +1,210 new cases, taking total to 52,706 and +18 new deaths, total is at 1,237 deaths.

Philippines

The Philippines recorded +1,803 new cases, bringing the total to 380,729 with +36 new deaths, bringing total 7,221 deaths.
