Muhammad Fajar Fathur was the first to beat Thailand’s goalie Anuchid Taweesri in the 33rd minute.

Thailand equalized in the 72nd minute with Apidet Janngam’s score, after a perfect low cross from teammate Punnawat Chote-Jirachalton.

The score was tied at 1-1 until the 80th minute — in youth championships games are by 10 minutes shorter than on senior level. There was no extra time, the game went straight to the penalty shootout, during which Indonesian goalie Ernando Ari Sutaryadi blocked two shots from Thailand’s Pongsakorn Innet and Janngam.
