MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Health (DOH) on Sunday recorded 295 new cases of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in the country, bringing the total to over 9,000.

According to the DOH, the total number of COVID-19 cases in the Philippines is now at 9,223.

As of 4PM today, May 3, 2020, the DOH reports 295 new cases (PH8929-PH9223) of COVID-19. The total number of cases in the country is now at 9,223

DOH also announces 90 new recoveries. This brings the total number of recoveries to 1,214.

Of the number, 1,214 have recovered, including 90 new recoveries.

Meanwhile, the DOH reported four new deaths, bringing the number of fatalities to 607.

Metro Manila and other “high risk” areas remain under an enhanced community quarantine until May 15 while a general community quarantine has been imposed on moderate to low-risk areas.
