381 new cases in the past 24 hours

BRUNEI  (Covid-19).Brunei today records a new daily high in COVID-19 cases since the pandemic first struck in the country, with 381 new cases added in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of cases to 8,980.Meanwhile, another COVID-19 positive patient, a man aged 40 also died today, and the cause death is still under investigation, according to the Minister of Health Dato Seri Setia Dr Hj Md Isham bin Hj Jaafar at a press conference.

In the daily COVID-19 situation update, the health minister said there are 195 additional new cases to 25 of the existing active clusters who are close contacts with several positive cases.

Five new clusters have been detected, with 60 cases. All of the new clusters are
accommodation clusters where one of it, namely Destiny Jaya Sdn Bhd Cluster is a worker dormitory.
