EDITORYAL – DepEd, lalabanan na ang korapsiyon
Isa ang Department of Education (DepEd) sa mga tanggapan na batbat ang korapsiyon. Nakahanay ang DepEd sa corrupt na Bureau of Customs, Bureau of Internal Revenue, Bureau of Immigration, Department of Public Works and Highways at iba pa. At nalalaman ito mismo ni DepEd Secretary Leonor Briones. Batid niya na maraming opisyal at empleyado sa pinamumunuang departamento ang tiwali. At alam din niya na ang katiwalian sa kanyang tanggapan ay isa sa mga dahilan kung bakit napagkakaitan ng edukasyon ang maraming kabataan. Ang graft and corruption ang hadlang kung bakit hindi mapagkalooban ng may kalidad na edukasyon ang maraming kabataan. Sa kasalukuyan, maraming batang Pilipino na edad walo ang hindi pa marunong sumulat at bumasa.
Malapit nang matapos ang termino ng Duterte administration at maganda na nakaisip pa nang kapaki-pakinabang si Secretary Briones para malabanan ang corruption sa tanggapan. Sana noon pa ito ginawa para hindi naman naging kawawa ang mga kabataan na napagkaitan ng may kalidad na edukasyon. Sana magtagumpay ang ACC ng DepEd.
