Hundreds of students rally in Jakarta to demand changes to government policies
Hundreds of students have taken to the streets of Indonesia’s capital Jakarta, accusing the government of economic mismanagement. They are demanding policy changes and greater accountability from President Prabowo Subianto’s administration. This, as the Indonesian rupiah emerges as Asia’s worst-performing currency this year and concerns grow over economic outlook. More than 4,000 police and military personnel were deployed to secure the demonstration. Saifulbahri Ismail reports from Jakarta.

At least 10 people, including Affan, have been killed, with more than 1,000 people injured as of Thursday, according to figures compiled by the Indonesian Legal Aid Foundation (YLBHI).
